Something Old, And Nothing New

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As a rather avid baker, I've developed a fondness for kitchen appliances such as breadmakers, ice cream makers and mixers...especially vintage ones.

So today I am just hopping up and down, having won my very first ebay auction for a vintage Sunbeam Mixmaster! It is a lovely shiny chrome, and if you know me you know I suffer from A.D.O.S. [attention deficit...ooh shiny!] I'm really extremely excited and cannot wait for it to arrive!

My mother has concerns over the smaller size of my new mixer and its lack of a paddle or hook attachment- she has one of those big, hulking, [yet still lovely] KitchenAid ones. I'm not worried. If it was used before, I can certainly use it again!

I am worried, however, about the possibility of an ebay addiction...dun dun dun!

Oh, the things I would buy if I had more cash. A Milkshake mixer, A Juice-O-Mat, there's just so much. eeeeek! =D

Did I mention that the top comes off so it can serve as a hand mixer?!
I'm in love!

Lets get the formalities out of the way...

Hello to any and all who happen upon this blog! It is wonderful to meet you and I do hope you'll stay for a bit.

As a girl who spent most of her younger years inside a kitchen or watching shows like Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie, [along with the usual fare of we nineties kids like Rugrats and AHH! Real Monsters], I have not surprisingly developed a love for all things vintage. Clothes, Shoes, and especially housewares like pyrex dishes.

I tried to look about and see other examples of how to start off a blog, but what I've come to notice is that most bloggers seem to simply jump into it and slowly find their own styles. So, without further adue:

Welcome to Bewhisked!

[decorations and banners and other such sassy-ness to come soon! =D]
